The labyrinthine murder of Joffrey Baratheon

As Littlefinger is a cunning liar, we tend to doubt everything he says. But the key is that he always says a mixture of truths and lies. So I believe his story in general but "the devil is in the details" we've been told since the very beginning. Just like the knife he lost at the tourney, that part was truth.
What I believe is that the Tyrells were after this. He's been working with them, and passing some information to Tywin to let him see he has a friend. So the cunning Lannis defeated the Tyrells thanks Littlefinger's help. (Lion-Wolf wedding).

The Tyrells: they have the reasons for killing Joff (like a lot of people,ok, Tommen is easier that Joff), they lead us to "the guilty", and they pretend to put her dear sweet daughter in real danger, so they could play the victims too.
About Tommen: the Lannis needed them, so it wasn't hard to push them to betroth Tommen. Actually they did it. Lannis wanted to wait for the wedding, and they have to hurry that too. "More you give them, more they ask" Cersei said something like that. Someone so young and lovely who is much more easy to manipulate, they did it.

Besides, the poisoned tablet that the QoT took from Sansa doesn't have to be the same one to poison Joff, but take it from Sansa puts the blame on her. People wouldn't doubt that she was carrying lots of little purple stones Maesters knows very well. And she was missing one.
About the pigeon pie: the Maesters did de autopsy and they said there wasn't food on Joff's throat.

More clues from the fans:
21. Petyr wanted Sansa involved and framed so he'd have an easier time smuggling her out of KL
22. Margaery was never at risk. The poison was only put in the chalice (by Garlan) once Joff had left his place and gone to taunt Tyrion about the jousting dwarves. The jousting dwarves, remember, were organised by Littlefinger.
